Update for Major Midget Program - Welcome Coach Corby Wright!
Submitted By Nicole Schoonderbeek on Sunday, April 14, 2019
The CZHA is pleased to welcome Corby Wright as head coach for the major midget team in the upcoming 2019/20 season. Corby brings more than than ten years of coaching experience to our association, including coaching in the Clarington Minor Hockey Association (CMHA) and at the AAA level with the Oshawa Minor Hockey Association.

Corby is currently the head coach of the Toros AA midget team. Under his leadership, the Midget AA team won OMHA red hats this year, and went on to compete at the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) championships this weekend. The team made it to the semi-final game in the tournament.

Corby was recently awarded the coach of the year award, and is the GM of hockey operations and coach mentor for the CMHA. He played in the Greater Metro Junior A Hockey League and five years of university varsity hockey with the York Lions.

Corby is planning to build a smart, fast, and disciplined Midget AAA team in the coming season.  As parents of previous players can attest, Corby believes in a strong team environment and is extremely passionate about all things hockey. He is excited to start focusing on next year.

The Major Midget AAA Toros information session with Coach Wright has now been scheduled for Friday, April 26 @ 7:00 pm at South Courtice Arena.

The CZHA would like to thank coach Jeff Culhane for his service in coaching the 2003 players this past season and wishes him all the best!
