Day 2 of the Championship opened with the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs playing the Toronto Young Nationals. Starting in goal were Siming WU for Toronto and Matt TOVELL for Kingston. Kingston scored the first goal of the game on a scramble in front of the net, but there were plenty of opportunities to score for both clubs in the first period. Toronto came back to tie the game before the end of the first period. Toronto came out strong in the second period, but after a big glove save by TOVELL off a Nats rush opportunity, Kingston strung together several strong shifts in a row. Toronto scored on a 2 on 1 after turning the puck over at the Kingston blueline. Kingston responded with a scoring chance in close, but was turned away by WU. In the third period, Toronto scored off a deflection in the slot, and then 38 seconds later they struck again to make it 5-2. Toronto was then the beneficiary of a lucky bounce of the end boards to bring the score to 6-2. Kingston scored another goal in the third period before their goalie left the net. The final score rested at 6-3 in favour of Toronto. The True Hockey players of the game were Peter STOJCEVSKI for Toronto and Cameron MORTON for Kingston.
